Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism can occur in two ways:

  1. Authors intentionally copy another person's work and present it as their own.

  2. Authors reuse their own previously published work, either fully or partially, without properly citing it, also known as "self-plagiarism" or "duplicate publication."

Plagiarism before Publication

Any plagiarism allegations will be carefully assessed by the International Journal of Applied Educational Research (IJAER). If plagiarism is found by the editors, peer reviewers, or editorial staff at any stage before publication—whether before or after acceptance, during editing, or during the proofing phase—the author(s) will be notified and asked to either rewrite the content or quote it with proper citations. If the plagiarism is significant (defined as 20% or more of the original submission), the manuscript may be rejected, and the author’s employer or institution may be informed.

When is Plagiarism Checked?

Before a manuscript is sent to an editor for review, it undergoes a plagiarism check.

How is Plagiarism Checked?

PlagScan and Turnitin software are utilized by the International Journal of Applied Educational Research (IJAER) to detect instances of plagiarism or overlapping content in submitted papers. PlagScan is a browser-based online tool that checks documents for authenticity.

Plagiarism Limitations

The manuscript might not be freely accessible to article indexing services due to publisher or journal restrictions, or it may appear on the journal website but not yet indexed. In some cases, a plagiarism check might not detect plagiarism if the checked content cannot be matched with the original manuscript due to such limitations.

Plagiarism Declaration

Each author must complete a plagiarism-free statement and upload it, along with other required files, to the journal’s submission system. The declaration must also be sent via email or the Open Journal System (OJS) with the manuscript.

Please download the plagiarism declaration form and email it to admin@multitechpublisher.com along with your manuscript.
